Itinerary
We’ll meet you at your hotel, private villa or pickup point. Our driver takes you to the pier from where the Hong island tour starts, close to Ao Nang.
After putting on your life vest we board the longtail boat for the 20 minute boat ride to Hong island. On arrival you can enjoy the beach and the crystal clear waters for some snorkeling (mask & snorkel provided) and swimming.
We take the longtail boat to Hong Lagoon, a bay enclosed by large limestone rocks. We can only go in through a narrow entrance. In here you can take some photos or jump off the boat into the water to cool down.
We head to a small island called Lading. The island has one small stretch of beach where you can relax and enjoy a tasty Thai lunch (halal options available). Take it easy and enjoy the beautiful beach here.
The next stop is Pakbia island. This larger island is the best spot for photos, as it looks quite idyllic. 2 large rocks with a narrow opening that leads to a long stretch of beach. Be sure to bring your camera here and enjoy the white sand and clear waters.
The next stop is only possible during optimal weather conditions: Rai island. When the tide and weather are good, we make a short stop here to enjoy this deserted island. If a stop is not possible here, we stay at Pakbia island a bit longer.
At 15:00 it's time to board the longtail boat for the last time. We take a 20 minute boat ride back to the pier, where our driver is waiting for you. The return transfer to your hotel should take 15 minutes if you are staying in Ao Nang, or maximum 45 minutes if you are further away.

For lunch you can expect a delicious Thai style buffet. You’ll have several (halal) choices like a curry, pad thai, stir fried, chicken & eggs. Halal options are available. If you have any specific food allergies, please let us know prior to booking this tour.
The boats will go out during the rain as well, as it is hard to avoid rain in a tropical country. Of course safety comes first: if the waves are too high to go out safely, we will postpone the trip to another day. The tour operator makes that final decision.
The best time to visit Koh Tao is after the rainy season and when the waters are calm. This is usually the case between november and march. Weather conditions may vary during the rest of the year. You’ll find clear waters during the hot season in march, april and may, but make sure to bring sunscreen as it can be very hot! The speedboat is equipped with a sun cover.
Absolutely. If you are coming with children between 3-11, they will easily be able to get out of the boat themselves. When your children are younger it might be better to book a speedboat tour, as they are more comfortable and easier to get in and out of. The Hong islands are close to the mainland, which means it's just a short boat ride away. The kids will love the snorkeling and swimming.
You can cancel your booking for free up until 24 hours in advance of the tour start date, no questions asked. We’ll refund you the deposit or you can choose to use it as an advance to a different booking or tour.

This was the most beautiful island we visited during our stay in Ao Nang (april 2024). Perfect swimming water for the kids, but quite busy at most locations. It didn’t really bother us as we had a lovely time. Well organized trip!
All the islands in the Krabi area are incredible and breathtaking! I could easily spend a week here exploring all these beautiful islands!
The only downside is that visiting in August often comes with a lot of rain, making the majestic islands less enjoyable to travel to. Despite that, it was still worth a visit, but I will definitely come back in another season 🙂
This spot is like a tropical paradise with a white sandy beach and an amazing turquoise sea.
If you’re on an island-hopping adventure, don’t miss this one too.
