Description
The James Bond Island tour by Longtail boat from Krabi is a great way to go sightseeing in beautiful Phang Nga Bay. Good to know about the James Bond Island tour by Longtail boat
The James Bond Island tour is a great introduction to the beautiful area of Phang Nga. During checkout you can choose kayaking as an optional extra. If you don’t want to explore the caves by kayak, a longtail boat ride in Phang Nga Bay is a great alternative during this time. The tour includes hotel transfers in the Krabi area: Ao Nang, Krabi Town, Klong Muang or Tub Kaek. The tour takes a full day between 08:00 – 17:00 and is suitable for families with children. Getting in and out of the longtail boat can be difficult for very young children or elderly persons.
Itinerary
Our driver will pick you up between 08:00 - 08:15 from your hotel if you are staying in Krabi Town, Klong Muang or Tub Kaek. Please be ready at your reception a few minutes ahead of time to ensure a smooth pickup.
If you are staying in Ao Nang, our drivers will pick you up between 08:30 - 08:45. From here we make our way to Phang Nga Bay by our air-conditioned minivans.
At around 10:30, we arrive at the pier. Here we board a longtail boat and make our way across Phang Nga Bay towards James Bond Island. The longtail boat ride is around 30 minutes.
Our longtail boat docks close to James Bond Island, where you can take pictures of the island and explore it. We visit Khao Ping Gan Island which has the best view of the famous rock. Don't forget to take your golden gun pictures here!
If you didn't book kayaking, it's time to board the longtail boat again for a scenic boat trip around Phang Nga Bay. Our guide will explain about the mangrove forests and the animals living here. The limestone formations are worth the views.
If you booked kayaking, we will take you to Lod Cave where you can go cave kayaking. We make our way through caves and past canyons that make up this area.
Both groups join again for a tasty Thai lunch at Koh Panyee, a floating fisherman's village. Here you can enjoy lunch (vegetarian and halal options available) and explore the small island.
We make a short stop at Suwankhuha Temple, also known as Monkey Cave. Here you can feed the monkeys and visit the temple inside a cave.
On the way back to Krabi we stop at a waterfall where you can relax a bit. Please bring your swimming suit and towel if you wish to swim here. It's very refreshing after a busy day.
The day ends with a return transfer to your hotel. Our driver will bring you back to your hotel or to the pier. The action-packed James Bond Island tour from Krabi ends here.

A delicious Thai-style lunch is served the floating island Koh Panyee. Vegetarian and halal options are available. There will be dishes like curry, Pad Thai, stir fried, chicken & eggs and a dessert. If you have any specific food allergies, please let us know prior to booking this tour.
Yes you can, we can pick you up from Ao Nam Mao pier at 08:00. Please arrange your own transfer to that pier at around 07:30 to allow enough time for the pickup. When coming from Centara Grand Resort, a reservation may be necessary. On the way back we can drop you off at the same pier for your return boat ride to either destination.
The best time to visit James Bond Island is after the rainy season. The best months are usually December - March when there is little rain and calm waters. After March the weather can be very hot and during the summer months it may rain a lot. This tour operates every day if the weather conditions permit it.
Our boat tour to James Bond Island will run during rainy days if the water is calm enough. If that is not the case, we will reschedule the trip for a calmer day or refund you the deposit (if any).
