Get off the beaten path and join us on a small group tour to Ya Wa Sam & Talu island by longtail boat! Both islands are close to Ao Nang and not on the regular schedule of the 4 Island tours. That means they are quieter and even better snorkeling locations! Coral is still abundant here and the waters are teeming with marine life. The best part is that this tour is one in a small group of minimum 2 persons and a maximum of 15 persons. That way you can truly enjoy the underwater life at these beautiful locations.
Read moreWe then visit Buya beach (or Phra Nang if the winds are too strong) at the southern tip of Poda Island. We serve lunch here. Vegetarian and halal options are available upon request. The waters are crystal clear so enjoy a refreshing swim here after lunch. It’s on the other end of Poda, where the regular day trips dock for lunch.
At the end of the tour, we slowly make our way back to Ao Nang. Relax under the sun shaded roof of the longtail boat and enjoy the views of beautiful Krabi. Itinerary
If you're staying in Krabi Town or Tub Kaek, we'll pick you up from 09:00 - 09:15. Please be ready at your lobby or reception a few minutes ahead of time to ensure a smooth pickup.
For our guests staying in Klong Muang, we'll pick you up between 09:10 - 09:25.
If your hotel or villa is within the Ao Nang area, we'll pick you up during this time frame. From here, we set off to Nopparat Thara Pier.
We'll board the longtail boat at the pier, put on our life vests, and head off to the first stop on our itinerary.
The boat takes us in about 30 minutes to the first stop of the day: Ya Wa Sam Island. Here we go snorkeling with our small group. Enjoy the beautiful underwater life and relax on the boat if you wish.
We make our way to Talu Island, which is another great snorkeling spot. During low tide you can enter the cave here and continue to Talu Lagoon.
We then head to the southern end of Poda Island. At the private Buya Beach we serve a lunch on the beach. The meat is halal and there are vegetarian options available. Please note that this stop is not possible with strong winds. In that case we serve lunch at Phra Nang Beach.
After lunch it's time to board the longtail boat again for the return journey to Ao Nang. We should arrive there at around 16:00.
The small group snorkeling tour ends with a return transfer to your hotel. You should arrive there no later than 16:30.

A Thai-style lunch is served on Buya Beach (a private beach) at Koh Poda. If you have any specific food allergies, please let us know prior to booking this tour.
Yes you can. A pickup straight from Railay beach is not possible, but you can take a regular transfer boat (price not included) from Railay to Nopparat Thara, from where this tour starts. At the end of the trip, we will drop you off at the same location, from where you can take a longtail boat back to Railay.
The best time to visit Ya Wa Sam & Talu Island is after the rainy season. The best months are usually December - March when there is little rain and calm waters. After March, the weather can be very hot and during the summer months it may rain a lot. This tour operates every day if the weather conditions permit it.
Our tour to Ya Wa Sam & Talu Island will run during rainy days if the water is calm enough. If that is not the case, we will reschedule the trip for a calmer day or refund you the deposit (if any).
You can cancel your booking for free up until 24 hours in advance of the tour start date, no questions asked. We’ll refund you the deposit or you can choose to use it as an advance to a different booking or tour.

I booked this tour online without any advance payment but the guide were right on time for pick up. They took us to very good locations for Snorkelling where there was no other boats/ crowd other than our group. We went to 3 sites 1 hour each which was more than enough time.
As I could not swim the guide made extra efforts by helping me in the waters to see the fishes and coral under by keep me afloat. We were back on time. No issues no delays. Basic lunch of rice chicken fish sauce and salad was served. There was fruits – watermelon also before we returned. Water bottles were also available. Snorkelling kit was provided by them.

We loved it so much that we did the tour twice during our stay at Ao Nang! Arish was the most helpful guide and when he saw us the second time, he brought us to a different location to avoid seeing the same thing again. Best service! We were with 7 and 9 persons on board during the first and second trip.
