Itinerary
We'll pick you up from your hotel or villa in Krabi Town, Tub Kaek or Klong Muang between 11:30 - 12:00.
If you are staying in Ao Nang, we'll pick you up between 12:00 - 12:30. From here, we head to Nopparat Thara Pier.
Depending on the boat option you selected and booked for, we'll board either the longtail boat or speedboat at the pier. Put on your life vest and we head off to the Hong Islands from here. If you booked the longtail boat, the ride takes around 40 minutes to the first island. If you booked the speedboat, the ride takes about 20 minutes.
The first stop is Railay, for our customers who are staying here. The boat docks at the meeting point between 12:00 - 12:30.
We visit Hong Island, one of the most beautiful islands close to Ao Nang. It's located in between towering limestone cliffs and is a great place to relax or go swimming.
If you're up for it; you can visit the Hong Island 360-degree viewpoint (419 steps in total). It's quite a walk up and only suitable if you're in good health. The views at the top are worth it though: you'll get a 360-degree view of the islands here.
Through a narrow passage we enter Hong Lagoon. A magical place totally surrounded by limestone cliffs. The water looks emerald green here. A great photo opportunity!
This is the famous tree-filled beach with a swing. From here you have a nice view at neighbouring islands. Depending on the sea and tide conditions, we'll have dinner here or at Pakbia Island.
This rocky island connects to other islands by a beautiful white sandy beach. We have dinner here or at Lao Lading, depending on the sea and tide conditions. Enjoy a tasty BBQ buffet on the beach.
When the sun sets, it's time to head back to a spot close to Ao Nang where you can go swimming with plankton. These little animals light up in the dark, which is a once in a lifetime experience! Swim with plankton that look like thousands of bright blue dots. Please note that the availability depends on tidal and seasonal changes.
At around 18:30, it's time to board the boats one last time to head back to the pier. If you are staying near Railay, the boat will drop you off there.
Our drivers are waiting at the pier to bring you back to your hotel for the return transfer. The Hong Island sunset tour ends here!

For dinner we will serve a mini Thai-style BBQ buffet on the beach. You can enjoy fresh Thai food, meat or seafood. We have vegetarian and halal options available.
Yes you can, our boat will be docking at the meeting point on Railay between 12:00 - 12:30. At the end of the trip we will drop you off at Railay as well.
The longtail boat takes longer to get to the Hong Islands. Travel times are almost double, which means there is less time to spend at the different stops. The speedboat gets there faster but is a more expensive way of traveling.
Yes, it is totally safe. They are minuscule animals and swimming with them feels a bit weird at the start. It can give you a bit of a rash sensation on your skin, but that will be gone the moment you get out of the water. The stunning views of the bright blue colors is absolutely worth it.
Yes, young children (2-3 years) are welcome to join this tour. Please note that it may be difficult for very small children to get in and out of the longtail boat, as well as for elderly persons. Unfortunately, we do not recommend nor accept very young children (0-1 years) to join.
The Hong Island sunset tour will run during rainy days if the water is calm enough. If that is not the case, we will reschedule the trip for a calmer day or refund you the deposit (if any).
You can cancel your booking for free up until 24 hours in advance of the tour start date. That means you need to cancel no later than 23:59, 2 days before the tour date. We’ll refund you the deposit or you can choose to use it as an advance to a different booking or tour.

Stunning scenery, but the group size was too large. The plankton swim was amazing, though!
Enjoyable tour. Guides are amazingly friendly, food was good. The Hong islands were thr highlight of the trip (also did 4 islands with the same company.
The sunset was magical! The glowing plankton was like swimming in a sea of stars. Dinner was delicious!
This was one of the most relaxing tours I’ve ever done. The sunset at Hong Island was stunning, with warm colors reflecting on the water. The plankton swim was magical—the water glowed with every movement! Dinner on the beach was delicious and felt so special under the stars. Our guide, Dao, was so kind and shared some great local stories. The speedboat ride back under the night sky was peaceful and quiet. I’ll be recommending this tour to all my friends visiting Krabi!
